01Getting started

This is the Ample Pro theme instruction page. We have tried our best to keep it as simple as possible. If you think it can be made even simpler let us know we will be glad to change it. Let’s start! On the right side you can see the table of contents of this documentation. Jump to the section you want, or read it all through – your choice. Let’s move on!

02Installation

Installing your theme is pretty easy! After downloading you should have a ample-pro.zip file. This is a compressed file containing all of the required templates, images and icons required for the theme to function properly.

Upload the theme

1. Go to Appearance > Themes in the WordPress Dashboard
2. Click on the Add New button
3. Click on the Upload link
4. Select the ample-pro.zip file
5. Click Install Now

Activate the theme

1. Go to Appearance > Themes in the WordPress menu
2. Hover over the theme thumbnail and press the Activate button

03Custom Menu

By default, the menus will fallback to Pages. That means just after activation of theme you will see all the pages as menus. If you want selective menus with combination of links, pages, categories then custom menu is what you should be looking for.

Set up Custom Menu

1. Go to Appearance > Menus in the WordPress menu
2. Click on Create a new menu link
3. Give a name to your menu in Menu Name and click Create Menu button
4. Now choose the pages, categories, custom links from the rightside of your screen by selecting the checkbox and click on Add Menu
5. Click Save Menu after adding required pages, categories in the menu

04Header Image

To set the header image follow below steps.

1. In the dashboard, go to Appearance > Customize.
2. Click on the Header Image section.
3. Upload your logo by clicking on the Add New Image button.
4. After you upload the headerimage, click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.

05Setup Business Template

1. In the dashboard, add a new page.
2. In the Page Attributes option box, choose the Business Template in the Templatedropdown option.
3. Publish the page.

You just need to add some widgets to Business sidebar to setup the business template.

Note: Business template display all the widgets of Business Sideber only. It does not display the content of the respective page. If you want to use text(content) in the Business template than you can use Black Studio TinyMCE Widget Plugin .

06Contact Us Page

Plugin Installation

1. Download Contact Form 7 plugin from here Download then install and activate it
2. Then go to plugin’s page and set it. Here is a detail on that Docs

Contact us page template

1. Go to dashboard, then create a page. Give it a name “Contact” or “Contact us” as you wish.
2. Now on the right hand side you can see Template Dropdown. Select Contact Page Template
3. Copy the contact form 7 shortcode and paste it in this page.
4. Click on Publish.

07Setup One Page Template

1. In the dashboard, add a new page.
2. In the Page Attributes option box, choose the One Page Template in the Templatedropdown option.
3. Publish the page.

You just need to add some widgets to One Page sidebar to setup the One Page template.

Enter the ID (for example ‘serviceid’, you can use any keyword), in the Section ID field provided in the widget.

Setting Menu for One Page:Create custom Menu, add a link and use the ID (‘serviceid’, same ID that is used in widget) in the URL field.

Please check ‘Activate one page style menu’ in Theme Options->Additional for One Page.

Note: One page template display all the widgets of One page Sideber only. It does not display the content of the respective page. If you want to use text(content) in the One page template than you can use Black Studio TinyMCE Widget Plugin .

08Widget Descriptions

Ample Pro provide six awesome widget that you can use to make you business/one page templates look amazing.

Note: No need to input any thing in “Section ID” field in the widgets unless you use the widgets in the One page Sidebar.

1. TG: Service WidgetThis widget enable you to display your services. In this widget, add the Title, Description and Image. Also select any of your pages in the drop down option and give the icon class for respective pages.
2. TG: PortfolioShow you Portfolio using this widget. In this widget, add the Title and Description, select the number of posts to display from certain Category as portfolio. Add the button text and it’s link to redirect it to any link or leave the Link empty to redirect it to the choosen Category. There is also the option of background color and image. If image is not selected than color will display as background, else upload image and select background attachment to scroll or fixed.
3. TG: Featured PostsThis widget display your latest posts. In this widget, add the Title and Description. Select the number of posts to display from either the Latest Posts or Posts from the certain Category. The featured image and excerpt of posts will be shown.
4. TG: Call To Action WidgetDisplay Call to action. In this widget, add the Text line, Button text, Button redirect link. There is also the option of background color and image. If image is not selected than color will display as background, else upload image and select background attachment to scroll or fixed.
5. TG: TestimonialDisplay Testimonials. In this widget, add the Title and Description. By default the number fo testimonials is 2, if you need to increase number than enter the value and save. Now, Enter the Text, Name, Byline and image for each. If image is not used than a icon will be displayed.
6. TG: Our ClientsDisplay your client logo/images. In this widget, add the Title and Description. By default the number fo testimonials is 2, if you need to increase number than enter the value and save. Now, upload the logo/images and enter the Link to redirect and Hover text.

09Header Settings

Header Setting is available in Appearance->Theme Options->Header Tab. This section contain all the setting related to Header part.

LOGO

You can upload logo to display it on top left side of the header. There are options available whether to display logo only or text only or show both.

Header Info Text

Display text in the Header Title Bar on the left side. It also accept shortcodes.

Header Title Bar Background Image

Title of the page is displayed in the Header Title Bar and is located below the Menu (below the slider if slider is used). Select the image to display as it’s background. If it is not selected than default color will show as background which can be changed from the Color option

Header Image Position

Display your header above or below the Site Title and Menu.

Header Background Image

Display background image of the header section (includes Header title bar, Site title and Menu).

10Design Settings

Design Setting is available in Appearance->Theme Options->Design Tab. This section contain the setting related to Header part.

Site Layout

Select the Wide or Box Layout for the site.

Layout Options

1. Default Layout
   By default this options will be selected which will display the Right Sidebar.
2. Right Sidebar
3. Left Sidebar
4. No Sidebar Full Width
5. No Sidebar Content Centered
6. Both Sidebar

Select Layout for each Page/Post

You can select different layout for each pages and posts.

• Edit the page/post. In the Select Layout option box, choose the Layout.

Default LayoutThis layout will be reflected in whole site archives, search etc. The layout for a single post and page can be controlled from below options.

Default layout for pages onlySelect default layout for pages. This layout will be reflected in all pages unless unique layout is set for specific page.

Default Layout For Single Posts OnlySelect default layout for single posts. This layout will be reflected in all single posts unless unique layout is set for specific post.

Custom CSS Box.

Ample-pro have Custom CSS Box which will ease your work if you need to add CSS in your site. Note: It will strip all the tags. Also, we strongly recommend not to edit the code of the theme. You changes will be lost if you update the theme. Use child theme instead. Or this Box for Styling.

11Social Links Settings

Social Links Setting is available in Appearance->Theme Options->Social Links Tab. This section contain the setting related to Social Links. Upto 10 Social Link can be added. Social Links are displayed in Top Right section of Header Top Bar.

• Activate Social link area, Check the checkbox available at the top.
• Since Social link are displayed on the Header Top Bar so you need to Activate Header Top Bar in Header Tab.
• Now, enter the icon class (ie, facebook) and add the respective link. Refer Font Awesome for icon class.
• Check “Check to open in new tab” to open link in new tab.

12Slider Settings

Slider Setting is available in Appearance->Theme Options->Slider Tab. This section contain the setting related to Slider Links.

Activate SliderSlider will not display by default. It need to be activated.

Slider StatusSelect the option to display slider in Front Page or in all the pages.

Slider Settings

• Display slider in three mode: Fade, Horizontal and Vertical. Set transition delay time, transition length time and number of slider.
• Options is available to make the slider images link back to respective links.
• Upload the slider image (recommended size of slider image is 1400*600px), add the Title, Button text and Link.

13Additional Settings

Additional Setting is available in Appearance->Theme Options->Additional Tab. This section contain the miscellaneous setting.

One Page SettingsOnly check this box if you use One Page.

FaviconOption to use Favicon is available. Upload the image and activate.

Category To Hide From BlogSelect the Category (Multiple Category can be selected) to hide it from the blog page.

Excerpts of Full Posts OptionsShow Full post content or show Excerpt to display in blog/archives pages.

Excerpt LengthEnter the number of Words to show on excerpt.

Excerpt Read more TextReplace default Read more text with your own word.

Allow Comments on PagesBy default the comment on the pages is disable. Check the provided checkbox to show comments in the pages too.

Hide Menu Top BorderSelected or hover Menu item has a line display at top (top border). Check the provided checkbox to disable this top border.

14Typography and Color Settings

Typography Setting is available in Appearance->Theme Options->Typography Tab.

Color Setting is available in Appearance->Theme Options->Color Tab.

15WooCommerce

WooCommerce Setting is available in Appearance->Theme Options->WooCommerce Tab. This option will be available if WooCommerce plugin is activated.

Select the layout for the WooCommerce Archive Page.

16Supported Plugins

This theme support the following Plugins:

1. Breadcrumb NavXT plugin.
2. WP-PageNavi plugin.
3. Polylang and WPML plugin.
4. WooCommerce plugin.

Other plugins are not tested with this theme but by default some plugins might work with the theme.
